First Post: Favorite Music

Okay! This is my first entry! I'll try and keep it short, but I have a lot to say. So, basically this is a music blog, I'll update you on all my favorite music, and sometimes other stuff, like books and stuff about me. I'll start with my favorite artists and bands. I LOVE Marianas Trench, I'm actually listening to them as I write this. They are Canadian, and a little off the radar, but that makes me love them more. I also love Metric. They are also Canadian, and I only know of one song I've ever heard from them on the radio: Help I'm Alive. They were actually nominated for a Juno this year, which is a Canadian music award show like the Grammies. I've heard a lot of good music from Metro Station, not just Shake It. Crystal Castles makes great music. They are a techno band, once again from Canada, but I like their stuff even better than Daft Punk. I like Lady Gaga's music, but not her. Her lyrics are all about the same thing: sex. ugh. I really like Katy Perry and Rihanna, I don't care how popular they are. I also like M.I.A. She has a unique sound, and lyrics that sometimes have a message. I suggest you look up Metric, Marianas Trench and Crystal Castles, they are all great artists that are off the radar.
